Description:

CDC Software invites you to listen to an informative CDC Factory webcast that demonstrates the new features and enhancements in the latest release of CDC Factory, and presents the keys to a successful upgrade.

The CDC Factory v5.1 webcast was hosted by CDC Software expert panel, consisting of

  • Robin Wight, Senior Product Architect
  • Roy Thomas, Senior Solution Consultant

Notable new features and enhancements discussed and demonstrated during the webcast include:

  • New Cell Page—With the best shop floor user experience available, CDC Factory’s updated cell page layout is organized with dedicated areas of the screen for each function. It can be read from a greater distance, and larger easy-to-touch buttons speed up transaction times. Page shortcuts to improve visibility away from the main page and improve navigation between functions. With greater control over the information, users stay focused on what matters most.
  • Multi-Plant Analytics with Updated Analytics UI—CDC Factory is the first to offer real-time analytics across multiple facilities, with clarity and understanding, from one screen. We have updated the overall analytics user interface to make navigation and readability easier, according to feedback from our customers. Users need never wonder whether they are seeing the “real picture,” even when they are handling complex multi-dimensional data for a multi-plant network.
  • Short Interval Control (SIC)—SIC is new functionality, coupled with a best practice charter, to introduce frequent performance reviews and follow-up actions. SIC drives proactivity, prevents production slowdowns, and makes action tangibly unavoidable.
  • Internationalization and Localization—CDC Factory 5.1 not only offers the ability to handle any language in the world, it even supports multiple languages at the same time on the same site, and the ability to dynamically change languages in real time.
  • Data Editing—Authorized users may edit and correct data, to ensure it is a true reflection of the actual performance. CDC Factory 5.1 also supports data automation with timestamps, so that it can self-correct following any network or IT problems.
  • Safety Reporting—Users can report safety-related near-misses and reportable incidents instantly, as they happen. Safety metrics are now part of CDC Factory’s profile of performance KPIs.
  • Large Scale Technical Architecture—Behind the scenes some significant structural data and business logic changes have been made to extend the transactional throughput of the system—all in readiness for even more new features in the coming months.
